Hey all! I’m so excited to announce an extraordinary project! I have been working on this for months, and it is finally finished!

I have officially launched my FIRST eBook, “Figure Skating Guide for Sports Medicine Professionals”!

This summer, I had the privilege of interning virtually at Girl Fit Physical Therapy, an organization dedicated to promoting health, wellness, injury prevention, and providing girls and women with the tools to stay strong, fit, and achieve their dreams!

As part of my internship, my mentor, Kate Hamilton, suggested I create a guide on figure skating for her clinic based on my experience as a figure skater. What started as a small pamphlet transformed into a 48-page book encompassing all disciplines of figure skating. We decided that we wanted to make this resource available to other sports medicine professionals, so the eBook was born!

“Figure Skating Guide for Sports Medicine Professionals” is a comprehensive eBook discussing the fundamentals of figure skating to provide context of the sport for sports medicine professionals to treat their athletes. The guide includes an explanation of figure skating levels, seasons, and basics of a figure skate. The second part covers detailed descriptions of all figure skating elements across singles skating, pairs skating, ice dance, and synchronized skating, accompanied by images and video examples. To conclude the guide, I detail off-ice training, post-injury skating reintegration, and eating disorders within the sport.

While this eBook was originally aimed at sports medicine professionals, the content is applicable for anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the sport. Whether you’re a beginner figure skater, a long-time veteran, or an avid fan of figure skating, this book is for you!

To align with Girl Fit PT and resilientHer’s missions of equity and accessibility, we provide this guide for FREE for everyone who would like access. If you or someone you know is interested, please fill out this form. I will get back to you shortly with a link to the guide!

Thank you so much to Kate Hamilton, Christina Verhorevoort, Michaela Main, Michael Bramante, TJ Carey, and Meghan Dugan, for your valuable insight in writing this eBook! I couldn’t have done this without you, and I am so grateful for the positive impact you are making in the world through this guide!
